re-issue of an obscure dutch jazz album originally released on Universe Productions 1972 Broedermelk consist of harry Verbeke (tenor) Joop Verbeke (piano) Henk van Veldhuizen (bass) and Martin van Duynhoven (drums) The recording took place on december 22 1972 in a jazzbar called Passepartout Leeuwarden. The engineer that night was Hans Poot who now roughly 45 years later teamed up with jazz lover Cor Boonstra (who was an old friend of Joop Verbeke). The idea of re-issuing this unique material came from Cor. The result is a beautiful gatefold sleeve lp, digitaly remastered sounding better than the original and a double ccd set wich includes the complete performance of that night in Leeuwarden. |
