In this rather exceptional line-up singer Sanne Rambags, pianist Sjoerd van Eijck and trumpet player Koen Smits approach the roles of their instrument in a different way in search of new sounds. Silence and intimacy are important elements in the music of Mudita. And so are atmospheric improvisations.

Sanne, Sjoerd and Koen met at the Tilburg Conservatory in 2015 and started working together. Listen To The Sound Of The Forest is the title of their debut album. It was recorded at Fattoria Music studio’s in Germany with producer/engineer Chris Weeda.
The trio is influenced by musicians like Susanne Abbuehl, Simin Tander, Jan Garbarek, Mathias Eick and Tord Gustavsen.
